TRUJILLO

The Romans called it Turgalium after it was conquered by the Arabs, and then it was later reconquered by the Christians for John II in 1430.

Its golden age was during the centuries XV and XVI, during which the majority of the palaces, churches and stately homes were built along with the fortresses.

Don't forget to visit Santa Maria La Mayor , where you will find 25 paintings from Fernando Gallego, which have been preserved in exceptional condition.

Spring is the best time to visit Extremadura. The Chiviri holiday is celebrated on Easter Sunday in Trujillo , which is a great tourist attraction in the region.
